Return to Nature

The original version of this painting was completed in 2007. It was part of a series of preparatory works exploring the concept of home. At the time I was intrigued by photographs of natural landscapes, and having lived in a concrete jungle my entire life, a part of me yearned to become closer to the vastness of nature. I often wondered what it would be like, to live in those beautiful landscapes.

2 years later, I looked at the same painting again and decided to change some parts of it…

“With the passing of time, Nature has reclaimed the earth.”
